Interpretation of magnetic resonance images related to standing/sitting and supine disc pathology
Session Outline:
This presentation will cover types of MRI machines and role in clinical practice. IVD pathology on MRI with case examples, correlating imaging with clinical findings. Upright/weight-bearing MRI indications and case examples along with research regarding potential value of upright MRI for some lumbar spine conditions.
Biography
Peter Dun PGradDip (NMSK Rehab), BAppSc has had over 20 years of clinical experience in patient care of spine, sports and activity-related conditions. Postgraduate rehabilitation education has included achieving certification in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization from the world renowned Rehabilitation Prague School in 2009 and completing a 2 year postgraduate diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation from Murdoch University in 2010.
One of Peter’s roles is assisting referring practitioners with diagnostic troubleshooting as he heads up Clinical and Research Services at Bayside Standing MRI.
